Eligibility

The KitKat Big Breakaway Contest is only open to legal residents of Canada, twenty-one (21) years of age or older.

Period

The KitKat Big Breakaway Contest ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on December 31.

How to Enter

No purchase necessary. Purchase is not required to enter the Contest and will not improve your chances of winning. There are two (2) manners to participate in the Contest, by purchasing an eligible product and submitting your Receipt, or by submitting a No Purchase Entry.

Purchase Entry

To enter by making a purchase, you must purchase one (1) of the qualifying Sponsor products from a retailer in Canada during the Contest Period; A qualifying product must be purchased to receive an entry. A list of qualifying products is shown in Exhibit A. Once you have purchased a Qualifying Product, retain and scan your purchase Receipt. Your scanned Receipt must show the retailer from whom the purchase was made, the date, and the Qualifying Product. Visit KitKat.ca/breakaway and follow the onscreen instructions to submit your Receipt.

You may also text the keyword BREAKAWAY to 811811 to receive a link to the Website.

Once you have submitted your Receipt, if the Receipt is verified, you will receive one (1) grand prize entry, and an email with one (1) unique gameplay code will be sent to the email address you provide. Take your Code to madewithnestle.ca/Instant-Win-EN and follow the onscreen instructions to submit your email address and Code.

Limit of three (3) Contest Entries per day.

No Purchase Entry

To enter without making a purchase, visit madewithnestle.ca/AMOE-EN and follow the onscreen instructions to begin your registration. You will be required to submit a minimum 150 word essay on “Why you love KITKAT” and provide information including your name, email address, phone number, and postal code.

You will receive one (1) Grand Prize Entry, and an email with one (1) unique gameplay Code viathe email address you provide, which you may use for a chance to win Instant Win prizes. Take your Code to madewithnestle.ca/Instant-Win-EN and follow the onscreen instructions to submit your email address and Code.

Prizes

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded during the Contest Period. The Grand Prize consists of:

  • Two (2) tickets to the Stanley Cup Final
  • Round trip flights for two (2) to the host city as determined by the NHL from the major airport in Canada closest to the winner’s residence in Canada
  • Two (2) nights’ accommodation
  • Five-hundred US dollars in spending money ($500)
  • KitKat Swag consisting of two (2) jerseys, two (2) t-shirts, and two (2) pairs of socks

The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is five thousand U.S. dollars ($5,000).

There are a total of 304 Instant Win prizes available to be won at the outset of this Contest, falling into four (4) Instant Win prize categories. The Categories, the number of Instant Win prizes available in each at the outset of this Contest, and the approximate retail values of each are:

  • KITKAT Socks (80) – $15.00 each
  • KITKAT Toques (50) – $25.00 each
  • KITKAT Jerseys (20) – $90.00 each
  • NHLShop.ca e-gift codes (154) – $20.00 each
